Dopo un lungo cammino, in cui 28 squadre si sono date battaglia, l'atto finale della Champions League (F4) è alle porte...il 22 e 23 Marzo ad Ankara si scontreranno le 4 finaliste:
- Halkbank Ankara: squadra di Juantorena-Kazyiski e Raphael, che avendo l'onore di ospitare la manifestazione era già qualificata di diritto.
- Jastrzesbki Wegiel: squadra polacca di Lorenzo Bernardi, che nei playoff 6 ha eliminato il Resovia.
- Zenit Kazan: squadra di Grbic e Alekno, nei play off ha battuto la nostra Piacenza.
- Belgorie Belgorod: formazione di Travica e Musersky che ha eliminato Trento.
Abbiamo chiesto ad uno dei protagonisti, che per l'occasione ringraziamo moltissimo e a cui mandiamo un immenso in bocca al lupo, qualche dritta su questa final four.

Bando alla ciance e via all'intervista:
1)Cosa pensi delle 3 squadre che parteciperanno alla Final4, in particolare lo
Jastrzesbki di Lorenzo Bernardi che incontrerete in semifinale, è una squadra
più o meno pericolosa rispetto a quella che tu incontrasti 3 anni fa a Bolzano
con Trento?
"Sono tre squadre molto forti che sono arrivate fino alla Final Four con
tanti meriti e che giocano molto bene in questo momento.
Lo Jastrzesbki è una squadra che sa giocare davvero molto bene a
pallavolo, hanno un gruppo che gioca bene insieme. Secondo me, sono più forti
di quella squadra che abbiamo incontrato 3 anni fa a Bolzano"
2)Per quanto riguarda la vostra squadra, Stoytchev ha
modificato qualcosa nella vostra preparazione? Il fatto di poter giocare con
soli 3 giocatori stranieri in campionato vi potrebbe penalizzare nell'assetto
di gioco e negli automatismi in Final4 (visto che in Champions non ci sono
limitazioni sugli stranieri)?
"Stiamo lavorando tantissimo e il fatto di poter giocare soltanto 3 stranieri
nel campionato Turco ci penalizza un po'. Adesso, Stoytchev ha inserito
un'amichevole infrasettimanale nella nostra programmazione. Così, possiamo
giocare tutti quanti insieme".
3)Ci sono diverse discussioni tra le forze delle 4 finaliste. Secondo te, quale
potrebbe essere l'ordine finale? Chi vedi in testa?
"Secondo me le due squadre russe hanno qualcosa in più delle altre in
questo momento. Penso che sono loro le favorite".
4)Cosa ci puoi dire del campionato turco? Soprattutto per quanto riguarda il
livello tecnico messo a confronto con quello italiano.
"Il campionato turco è in crescita. Quest'anno tante squadre hanno cercato di
rinforzarsi comprando tanti campioni e il livello si è alzato parecchio. Pero',
nel mio modo di vedere, il campionato italiano è ancora il più bello e il più
forte al mondo. L'organizzazione, il pubblico, i tifosi... Sono cose che chi ci
ha già giocato in Italia non si dimentica mai!".
5) Ci parli della tua vita di Turchia? Come ti trovi, come si trova la
tua famiglia e se è una cultura che ti piace.
"In Turchia si vive bene. Io e la mia famiglia ci siamo trovati bene ma la
cultura è veramente diversa, ma che ci piace conoscere".
6) Ci capita spesso di seguire le vostre partite, come vi trovate a
giocare con pochissimi spettatori? Come mai nonostante la caratura della
squadra il pubblico non si appassiona?
"Purtroppo la pallavolo qui non è seguita. Questa è una situazione che mi
dispiace tanto e che ho fatto tantissima fatica per abituarmi, a dirvi la
verità, non mi ci sono mai abituato. Io che ero abituato con la bellissima
tifoseria di Trento, è ancora più difficile entrare al palazzetto e vedere
pochissimo pubblico".
7) Un saluto per tutti gli appassionati di volley italiani:
"Un grandissimo saluto a tutti gli appassionati di volley italiani! Spero
davvero di poter giocare ancora questo vostro meraviglioso campionato! Grazie
di cuore per l'affetto di sempre nei miei confronti! Un saluto speciale per
tutti i tifosi trentini!!!".

After a long road, during which 28 teams did battle, the final step of CEV Champions League is about to come... on March 22nd and 23rd in Ankara we will see the four finalists:
- Halkbank Ankara: the team joined by Kaziyski, Juantorena and Raphael, that was automatically qualified as the organizer of the event.
- Jastrzesbki Wegiel: Polish team coached by Lorenzo Bernardi, that defeated Resovia at the PlayOff 6
- Zenit Kazan: Grbic and Alekno's team, that got here defeating Copra Piacenza.
- Belgorie Belgorod: Travica and Musersky's team that defeated Trento
We asked one of the protagonists some hot tips about this Final4. Ex-Trentino setter, currently playing in Ankara, ladies and gentlemen Raphael Vieira De Oliveira.
Rapha kindly spent some time to answer our questions so let the interview begin!
1) What do you think about your 3 contenders, especially the Polish team that you will face in the semifinal? Is it a more insidiuos team than the one you met in Bolzano 3 years ago with Trentino team?
Both Jastrzesbki and the Russian teams are very strong and deserved to get here, as they are playing a very good volleyball. This is valid also for Jastrzesbki, that has a very tight and powerful team. In my opinion, right now they are better than the team we met in Bolzano.
2) Talking about your team, did Stoytchev modify anything in your training? In Turkey it is possible to play only with 3 foreing players per set, could this disadvantage you concerning the structure and the automatisms of your way of playing (as in Champions League there are no restrictions)?
We are working hard and this peculiarity of the Turkish league is a disadvantage for us. Coach Stoytchev has planned a friendly game every week so we have more time to play together.
3) There are many different opinions about the real value of the 4 finalists. What do you think the final order might be? Who is the favourite team?
I think the Russian teams have something more than the other two teams and are favourite for the final victory.
4) What would you say about the Turkish league? Especially about the technical level and compared to the Italian one
The Turkish league is growing, several teams tried to be stronger buying foreign players and the level is getting higher. But, as far as I'm concerned, Italian league is still the most beautiful and the most difficult in the world. And about organization, audience, supporters...these are factors that an athlete who have played in Italy can never forget!
5) Tell us something about your life in Turkey. How are you and your family doing? Do you like this different culture?
We are doing well here, life is pleasant but the culture is very different, and we like to get to know it.
6) We saw some of your games and we were wondering how you feel playing with so few spectators. Why aren't fans more attached even though the quality of the team?
Unfortunately volleyball is not very appreciated here. I'm sorry for that and it was very difficult for me to get used to it and, to be honest, I couldn't. I was used to the warm and joyful audience in Trento and because of it, to enter the sports hall and see so few supporters is even more difficult for me.
7) Anything to say to Italian fans?! I just want to send my greetings to all Italian fans! I really hope to come back to play in your wonderful league! Thank you from the deep of my heart for being always so lovely to me! And a very special greeting to Trentino fans!!!"
